As indeed they can be. Last week, having just read your grossly
inaccurate generalised comments about Indian call centres and their
staff, I purchased a laptop computer and digital projector from Dell. I
was connected to someone in India who was knowledgeable, helpful and
courteous. He answered all my questions, made useful suggestions, and
dealt with my purchase speedily and efficiently.

When I tried to order an LCD TV from Dell, I had no end of grief
talking to "Kevin" in India. I could get no sense at all from them and
I ended up pulling strings by ringing their PR department in the USA
and getting it sorted with my contacts.
I will not deal with Dell ever again as a result, nor will I ever
recommend them.
I'm sure they'll be happy about that, otherwise you'd be hanging aroundrecommend them.
their support group 5 years after leaving them, whining about how bad they
are (despite not actually using them any more and thusly having no idea
how good or bad they are, you fucking mongo).
