Why, oh why did I bother to stay with Demon????
It was only the inconvenience of not having to work through loads of
sites re-configuring my contact email (if I could remember the
passwords and not have to get them emailed to me - don't like all my
eggs in one basket).
The next time anything like this happens I will do what I should have
done in the first place and signed up with Plusnet.
A. mega rant is going by registered post to Thus tomorrow.
This is what you get after 10 years with Demon :(
Indeed.
I recommend http://www.adslguide.org.uk
Do some research - there are better alternatives to Demon and ones that
will treat you a damn sight better.
But all their saddo ex-customers will still hang around whinging about
them for no apprent reason.

If it is, they can expect a complaint campaign the like of which they
have never known before. I feel a registration of Demonsucks.co.uk is
imminent (not pointing to my Demon home pages naturally).
I sympathise with you Peter, I really do.
Demon were once an excellent ISP, run by techies who knew what they
were doing - there are still many of them, sadly now covered in
corporate bullshit and heavily restricted.
Restricted by large amounts of body fat? Or ginger hair?
Demon simply doesn't care about the 'small' person anymore,
Nice use of quotes there, we know why that is.
so I feel
you'd be wasting your time in any kind of 'complaint' campaign -
Isn't that what you're doing, dipshit?
they're impervious and aloof to it. How their 'customer champion' can
do his job anymore, defies me.
Vote with your feet - move to another ISP.
Fuck off.

Actually, yes I can. The grass is not always greener on the other
side.
But sometimes, once you remove the mushrooms, it positively glows
bright green.
Maybe you should stop eating them.

In the meantime as a long-term user and communications consultant
who
has guided dozens of users to Demon over the last 15 years, I am now
committed to diverting people away. At the same time my systems
manager, a network support firm which handles dozens of users every
year, is so disenchanted that it is considering removing existing
customers from this potential chaos.
Yup, been there, done that.
Yup.
I've lost count of the number of people who I recommended Demon to when
I was with them. Not any more - quite the opposite. Their 'customer
service' is an absolute joke, as are their accounts dept.
I'm sure they ignored your advice anyway, you being a clueless twunt.
Treating customers like mushrooms, as Demon have done, is a good way to
get rid of them and make them want to persuade others to do the same.
Like mushrooms? WTF is this your latest theme?
